SCOPE

This Practice provides the format requirements for documentation that is specified for purchased equipment in EP 2–5–1 and the applicable equipment Practices.
A complete list of the required documents for all purchased equipment are provided in EP 2–5–1 as well as individually in each of the applicable equipment Practices.
Any deviation to this Practice shall be in accordance with the procedure given in EP 1–1–3.
An Asterisk (*) indicates that a decision by the Owner’s Engineer or Owner is required, or that additional information is furnished by the Purchaser.

2.0 REFERENCES

The latest edition of the following standards and publications are referred to herein.

STANDARDS AND PUBLICATIONS

DEFINITIONS

Manufacturer – The recipient of a direct or indirect purchase order for materials and/or equipment. In this context, a direct order is one issued to a manufacturer by a contractor or the Owner. An indirect order is one issued to a manufacturer by a vendor (recipient of a direct order) for materials, fabricated components, or subassemblies.
Owner – Inflection Point Engineering, LLC.
Owner’s Engineer – A Inflection Point Engineering, LLC appointed engineer.
Purchaser – The party placing a direct purchase order. The purchaser is the Owner’s designated representative.

DOCUMENTATON FORMAT

(*) Electronic equipment documentation for the Owner in addition to any Purchaser specified hard copies shall be provided in the following formats. The following is not intended to be all inclusive, and special documents may require a decision from the Owner’s Engineer.

Notes:

The Owner shall be contacted for current version of AutoCAD in use by Owner. When AutoCAD files cannot be provided by vendor, hard copies shall be provided.
When MS Word or MS Excel documents cannot be provided by the Manufacturer or vendor, hard copies shall be provided.
