Method: Darcy–Weisbach with Swamee–Jain (64/Re below Re=2100 for laminar). API RP 14E erosional velocity: ve = C/√ρ with C=100 (continuous service); some operators use C=125 for non-corrosive service. Typical economic ΔP/100 ft: liquids 1–5 psi/100 ft; gas 0.1–0.5 psi/100 ft.
