Calculators
Sound pressure level at a receiver from a point source using inverse-square law distance attenuation, plus combined SPL from multiple sources and OSHA permissible exposure time. Per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 and API 615.
Method: Lp2 = Lp1 − 20·log10(d2/d1) − IL (inverse-square law with barrier insertion loss, free-field point-source assumption). Combined level: Ltotal = 10·log10(Σ10Li/10). OSHA permissible time: T = 8/2(L−90)/5. References: OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 Table G-16; API Std 615; NIOSH Criteria for a Recommended Standard — Occupational Noise Exposure.
