Radial heat loss per foot for an insulated pipe under wind, required design watt density, and parallel self-regulating cable count and kW draw. Screening method only — final selection must match cable vendor T-limit and circuit-length tables.

Method: radial 1-D conduction through insulation in series with surface film, both on an outer-diameter basis. Wind correction: hw = 1 + 0.02·vwind,mph.
